The Bergen fMRI Group had a stand at the 2013 "Forskningsdagene UNG" in downtown Bergen on Friday September 27. The arrangement was part of the National Science Week, an annual nationwide event initiated by the Research Council of Norway for the promotion of science in society. The fMRI Group stand was this year targeted on high school students, with demonstrations of "how does your brain work", which was much popular among the visiting students"


Marcus Raichle visits the Bergen fMRI Group Fall Symposium

Marcus Raichle, Washington University, St. Louis, USA visited the Bergen fMRI Group, and was keynote speaker at the Bergen 2013 fall Symposium: "fMRI - Current Challenges and Future Promises", September 25-27. The Symposium was attended by close to 70 participants from Norway and several other countries. The photo shows Marcus Raichle explaining brain dynamics during an informal conversation-hour on September 25. The Symposium was co-sponsored by the Nansen Neuroscience Network, Oslo.


The Bergen fMRI Group received the front cover of Cortex, volume 49, issue 7, 3023 referring to their article in the same issue: Hirnstein, M., Westerhausen, R., Korsnes, M. S., Hugdahl, K. (2013). Kenneth Hugdahl and the ERC Advanced Grant "VOICE" project about auditory hallucinations has been invited by the ERC President, as one of three projects, to represent ERC advanced grants at an upcoming EU conference in Vilnius, Lithuania in September in the occasion of Lithuania taking over the EU Presidency. Kenneth Hugdahl will present the "VOICE" project on behalf of the entire ERC Team.
