Guest lecture "The mismatch negativity (MMN) in clinical research and practice"
Professor Emeritus Risto Näätänen, University of Helsinki Thursday 22/5/2012, 11.00 - 12.00 BB-bygget, Jonas Liesv 91, 9. etg. Rom 9A110
Prof. emeritus Risto Näätänen, University of Helsinki, Finland, is the researcher who discovered the Mismatch Negativity (MMN) evoked potential from the EEG pattern of the brain. The MMN response is a potential change in the EEG to sudden unexpected events and has been shown to be a biomarker of brain pathology in a range of clinical conditions, with relevance for psychology, psychiatry and neurology. Prof. Näätänen is among the most cited cognitive neuroscientist in the world, and his international recognition as an outstanding brain scientist is paramount.
All are welcome!
